This year (2010) marks the beginning of our 21st year in private practice. We’ve witnessed a LOT of changes over that time. Changes in tax laws, government regulations, the economy, technology, and most importantly: changes in what our clients want and need from us.

I started my own private practice for the same general reason that many small businesses get started: I saw a growing need that, in my opinion, just wasn’t being addressed.  In my case, that need was for someone who would give small business owners friendly and personal service, straight answers to their questions, and reliable support - an advocate that could assist them in running and managing their business more effectively.

Today’s small business owners require much more than a “number-cruncher“. They, of course, still need someone to prepare their tax returns and help them “balance the books”, but that’s only the "compliance-end” of running a business.
